In a spectacular addition to this year’s Overlord Historical Days (June 1 to 9), the Overlord Museum proudly hosted a rare and thrilling exhibition featuring the world’s only operational Tiger II Tank. This formidable piece of World War II history, on loan from the Musée des Blindés de Saumur, drew large crowds over the weekend, marking a significant highlight of the event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings.
The Tiger II, renowned for its powerful armament and near-impenetrable armor, played a pivotal role in numerous battles during the war.
